Here's What People Are Saying About ASP.NET: Data Web Controls!
Here are some of the reviews and comments made about ASP.NET: Data Web Controls Kick Start.
"I'm currently reading Scott Mitchell's new book, ASP.NET Data Web Controls. This is the book
that could put me out of business as a Datagrid question-answerer because most of the answers I
give are in this book! Everything you ever wanted to know about the Datagrid, Repeater, and
DataList from the ground up, including a lot of advanced material. Do not walk -- RUN to the
right-hand side of your screen to the cover link and buy this book now."
Marcie Robillard, a.k.a. DataGridGirl
"There really are no two ways around it... if you work with the DataGrid, DataList, or Repeater, this
book is a must have."
John Peterson, Web master of ASP101.com
A must have book for anyone responsible for developing asp.net
data-centric web applications. The book provides concise, yet in-depth
details about the diverse functionality of the three major web data
control objects: DataGrid, DataList, and Repeater, and when to use each
within a given web application. Moreover,
with numerous, step-by-step hands-on examples, this book is not only a
great reference, but also a fantastic teaching tool. A terrific book
for asp.net developers at all development levels.
Christopher Barrow, Amazon.com Review
This book by Scott Mitchell is a great book to learn about the data web controls. As I moderate through the forums, it appears that the most popular control is the DataGrid. Scott does an excellent job demonstrating how to use a DataGrid. He provides examples showing the basic DataGrid and how to customize it. Much like Marcie Robillard (A.K.A. - The Datagrid Girl) has mentioned, this could be the book that puts many DataGrid experts "out-of-business!"
